Teaching Philosophy
School is place meant for learning, growth, and the betterment of mankind. In order to successfully achieve this, teachers must do what is possible in order to reach students and engage them in their respective subject matter. Therefore, different modes of learning must take place in the classroom in order to ensure that a child’s method of acquiring knowledge has been practiced to the teacher’s fullest potential. Although the tasks to be completed by teachers and students may appear to be different, they all come together to encompass and foster the idea that education is significant to all aspects of life.
As a teacher, I understand that the job at hand is not one to be taken lightly. The importance of my job may not always be evident to others. Students do not always acknowledge the efforts of an educator and the dedication it takes to make everyday a new opportunity for learning. However, with every new vocabulary word learned, grammatical error fixed, and the use of sources that may have seemed impossible to reach for at one point from my students, I will recognize the fact that I indeed play a substantial role in students’ lives.
I must draw from different inspirations in order to bring lessons to life, make writing assignments works of art, and develop projects into hybrids of imagination and content. The classroom will become a melting pot of various backgrounds, theirs and mine. Using the best ingredients and the right procedures, the students and I hope to create the best serving of all: success.
